Hi didn't know where to put this hope this forum is ok! I am think about buying a fzr 1000 1990 but it "might" be a USA model? How do I tell and if so anything different in performance or parts?

Thanks Very much Mark I think the biggest difference is just the cosmetics and the look of the exhaust pipe, I think mechanically they are pretty much identical (that being said I have no personal 1st hand experience with UK version - only U.S.) |

Can you tell by frame numbers? Not sure; I would imagine the series of VIN #'s might be different, but like I said I don't have any 1st hand experience with U.K. exports, only U.S. Does it have oem plastics on it? As far as if it's worth buying or not; that would depend on price and condition. |

If it is a good one Mark and it is the right price buy it. I am pretty sure if there are any difference they will have already be changed or they can easily be changed. The only differences I am aware of is in emmisions control, but only on some bikes.
