Hey Hilly,

That CBR F2 conversion usually refers to the 3HE 600 or 1WG 400 so I'm sure there would be different requirements to be met in order to throw one on the 3TJ swinger. I know there are a few guys around here who are pretty well-versed in all three bikes so I'm sure someone will chime in with a more concrete answer. RoadDogma comes to mind, so maybe he'll have something to add. If he doesn't check in anytime soon, I'll try to remember to bring it up to him next we talk (possibly tomorrow since he's helping me out with some stuff).

Brandon

Donate to The FZR Archives, I did.

TZR250 (3VX) is nearly identical to the 3TJ rear wheel. Besides being a bit lighter weight, I believe the only difference is the sprocket carrier.

Other than that, I'm sure many wheels can be made to fit. There was a member (no longer active) who fit a 5.5 inch TZ250 wheel in a 3TJ swinger. TZR250 is sure to be the easiest. Other than the sprocket I'll bet it is a direct swap, but there is plenty of room in the 3TJ swingarm, and I would think that a YZF600 or R6 wheel would not be too difficult. You have the 3TJ dimensions, so with a bit of research, you could compare with other wheels and come up with something that suits you. If it were me, I would chose the wheel I like, and do the mods to make it fit.

Given that 3TJs and TZR250s are pretty common in the UK why don't you give a shout on 400greybike?
