Hey does anyone have a Corbin on their 400?
From another thread in FZR 600, I've recently found out that the 400 and 600 seats are different. Wondering if people with Corbin seats on their 400's had to mod the tail cowling to get it to fit? Thanks. |

Corbin actually made a seat for the 400, for a while. They're quite rare. I've only seen 5 or so for sale in the last few years. I don't think you'd be able to get the 600 seat to fit without serious mods, because the 600 tail is much longer. I have one of the Corbin 400 seats on my bike and it is definitely a vast improvement over stock for long trips.

Thanks 4/6 FiZ, does your seat cowling and old seat look like this one? http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs101&d=06223&f=bike3.png Or does anyone else know if this 400 seat is the 1WG? My 3EN2 seat cowling is totally different than this one. There is this extra cross member piece of plastic that separates and raises the passenger seat from the front seat. Makes me think the only way I'm going to get a more comfy seat on mine is to reupholster the one that's on there. Damn, I wanted a Corbin 2 up. |

Oh, crap, I didn't realize you had one of those fancy non-U.S. 400s. I've never seen one of those up close, but I think you're probably right about having to reupholster the stock seat.
